Ihab Azizi and Rania Aswad
Ihab Azizi and his wife Rania Aswad have two children. One is two years old and the other is 20 days old, having just been born.
Before his marriage, Ihab lived with his family in Sukari, a suburb of Aleppo which in 2012 was among the first towns to suffer from the fighting. The heavy bombing caused Ihab and his family to flee and initially seek refuge in a school in Almuhafaza which had been opened for refugees. Following this, Ihab was conscripted into the army while the remainder of his family found refuge in Turkey.
After having served two years in the military, Ihab went to Aleppo to marry Rania. Some time later he was injured in the foot and returned to Aleppo, having been released from his military obligations. When he found work in a restaurant, Ihab firstly moved into a disused shop with his wife, and then into a basement which he fitted out as well as he could and installed toilets and a bathroom.
Ihab is in immediate need of aid from Coup de Pouce which would be used to find less precarious accommodation for his wife and two children and to reimburse money borrowed from his family.
